About DLRN

Dream & Love Reborn Nursery was created by reborn artist, Rochelle Joy.

Having loved dolls my whole life, I was actually unaware of this art and hobby for some years. Once discovered, there was a time where I would brush passed them on websites if they came up, thinking some were cute, but definitely a luxury item. I was fortunate to hear stories of how these babies could heal the hearts of those who had suffered from some sort of loss. When my Father passed away in mid 2012, there were so many things I wished to achieve, but mostly I wanted something to treasure, to help me smile again.

That’s when I discovered my first reborn, Sam. At first, the notion felt strange, but with the support of my best friends and family joining me on this journey, as well as that I just couldn’t pass up his sweet face, we ventured into reborns and I quickly progressed into making my own.

I had always been rather crafty, more so with making things like crochet items and friendship bracelets, so reborning seemed like a daunting task. And at first it was. I made a few mistakes before I was amazed by the art of them, and therefore became addicted. My second reborn, Oliver, truly stamped my interest in making little babies come to life by my own work. Each baby since has taught me invaluable lessons and I’ve enjoyed watching the joy they bring to those who meet them. They have a place for both the old and the young, and aren’t just for those who like to display them. For me, my personal collection heal my heart, one hug at a time, and I know they help so many others out there too.
